February 2017 🎼 OUT NOW 🎹 Thames River Soul EP on Splash Blue ft Omar, Kenny Thomas, Imaani and Va

Thames River Soul is a new project featuring core members Francisco Sales (guitar), Francesco Mendolia (drums) and myself on bass. We recorded our first tracks last year and have made our first EP which come out on February 17th 2017 on Splash Blue. This is volume one and there will more to come soon. Our first outing is solely cover versions and we have some great guest performances from Omar Lye-Fook, Kenny Thomas, Imaani Saleem and Vanessa Haynes. We are joined by Matt Cooper and Tom O'Grady from Resolution 88 (also signed to Splash Blue) on keyboards and production is handled by Bluey.

Will It Go Round In Circles was a hit for Billy Preston but we have reinterpreted the song with a wicked vocal arrangement by Omar and keys by Tom O'Grady. Love X Love takes the original Rod Temperton/George Benson classic and drops it squarely on the dance floor. Stairway To Heaven is predictably nothing like the Led Zeppelin original but we hope you enjoy our version which aims to retain an element of surprise in the arrangement. Imaani's sweet voice is proudly on show in her gorgeous rendition of Herbie Hancock's I Thought It Was You, her upper register on this song is something very special.
