Saturday 18th June 2016, Brighton Concorde 2 & UK festivals this month
It’s been quite a few months since my last blog post but I have been busy (as my Instagram feed will attest!) and as usual that’s meant lots of globetrotting! In those last six months I have toured in Europe multiple times and also been as far as Turkey, Singapore, Indonesia, Algeria, Japan (twice) and Mauritius! This has mostly included Incognito shows but also there have been Citrus Sun shows, some dates with legendary flautist Bobbi Humphrey in Japan and some live TV and promo with US singer Cee Lo Green. This month June is distinctly different in that I haven’t got a single flight this month, my passport is staying put in my desk until July 2nd, after which things get busy again. However, we have finished the new Incognito album which is out in a few days, we shot the video to the first single last week and we have a number of UK concerts and festivals coming up too. A couple of weeks ago we played at the Happy Days Festival in Surrey which was memorable for many reasons, in particular because Jocelyn Brown surprised us and joined us on stage for Always There! We’re following that up with a show at Brighton Concorde 2 this Saturday 18th June. It’s been maybe five or six years since we last played there so I’m really looking forward to that (I used to live in Hove, just down the road.) The next weekend we have two festivals back to back; the Summer Soulstice 10 festival in Barnet on Saturday 25th June and Nile Rodgers’ FOLD Festival in Fulham on Saturday 26th June (FOLD stands for Freak Out Let’s Dance!) We also have the Lambeth Country Show on Saturday 16th July. See links below FH
